The 2011/12 school year marks my first as principal at Holy Cross Catholic School. I absolutely love the Holy Cross community and feel blessed to be here.
Before receiving my Doctor of Education from Baker University this year, I received my Administrative License from Baker University in 2004, a Master of Arts in Education from University of Saint Mary in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of Saint Mary in 2000.
I have had the pleasure to teach Kindergarten, first, second and fourth grade classes at public and parochial schools in the Kansas City and Denver areas. I’ve served as an instructional coach for middle-school teachers, and was assistant principal for three years at a parochial school in Olathe, KS. For the past three years, I have been principal at a grade school in Kansas City, KS.
My husband of nearly 13 years is Dr. Matthew Beverlin, an assistant professor of political science at Rockhurst University. We have three beautiful children: Alex, 9, Olivia, 6, and Maximus, 1. We are parishioners at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, KS.
