Student Council
Student Council gives students opportunities to build their leadership skills by getting them involved in developing and promoting student service projects. Student Council consists of officers elected from among 7th and 8th graders and members elected from among 5th through 8th graders.
Student Newsletter
Holy Cross School publishes a student-written newsletter called The Hornet to provide students with the opportunity to develop their writing, editing and information-gathering skills. The Hornet covers topics such as school sports, field trips, holidays, and special classroom and school-wide activities. It also may include matters of local and national interest.
School Band
Our band program gives students the opportunity to explore and develop their musical abilities, as well as reap the mind-building benefits of music. Band is open to all 5th through 8th graders.
Bell Choir
The junior high and kindergarten bell choirs are dedicated to learning the ancient and honorable art of bell ringing. They provide music for worship services as well as presenting programs at special times of the year.
Girl Scouts
Girl Scout programs are designed to help girls build character and gain skills for success in the real world. The Holy Cross Girl Scout program is open to kindergartners through 8th graders. Although activities and meeting times vary by troop, in general, Girl Scouts provides opportunities for service, conservation, and craft projects as well as other enrichment and character-building activities.
Cub Scouts
The Holy Cross Cub Scout program is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and is a year-round, family-oriented endeavor. It is open to boys in 1st through 8th grades. The purpose of Boys Scouts is to promote character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, fun and adventure, friendly service, family understanding, respectful relationships and personal achievement.
