What is a Gift Gathering Party? –The gift gathering party is exactly what its name implies. It is our opportunity to gather gifts donated by parish and school families to be auctioned off at our annual parish Celebration Event.
Do I really have to pay $50 per couple? –$50 is a suggested minimum retail value for a gift to be donated. You can solicit your donation from a business, a friend or a neighbor, or purchase an item. Some families like to combine their purchasing power and go in on a larger gift together. Don’t forget about services such as housekeeping, handyman, or gardening, they make great auction items also. If shopping is not your thing, consider writing a check for $50 or more. That money can then be used to purchase larger items. Frequent flyer miles and time shares are also good items to donate. What do I get for my donation? – This year’s gift gathering party will be held Saturday, November 5 from 7-10pm in the school gym. All parish and school families are welcome. This year we are having a casino night theme. Gaming will begin at 7:30. For your $50 donation you will receive play money to use at the gaming tables. There will be roulette, blackjack and craps tables - with real dealers! Prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening. Additional play money may also be purchased. In addition to the gaming tables, there will also be plenty of appetizers, adult beverages, friends, fun and music. Come in your “Vegas” attire and join us!
