Our curriculum will strive to meet the needs of the whole child mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and academically through observation, interaction and guidance.
We are a developmental preschool with self-contained classrooms.
We
believe that children grow and progress at different rates and that each child's developmental rate
is separate and distinct from that of any other child.
We understand that children learn best through activities that capture their interest.
Using guidelines for developmentally appropriate
curriculum and the Early Childhood Standards set by the state of Kansas, the children will
develop responsibility, listening and group participation skills, self love, self respect and self confidence.
Children will have the opportunity to build friendships and develop relationships
through interacting and playing with other children and adults. Skills such as sharing, taking turns
and working together is a big part of their day.
Incorporated weekly into our curriculum is the
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This Montessori-based religious program focuses on the
spiritual formation of the child. Rooted in scripture and the liturgy of the church, Catechesis
allows the child to encounter Jesus and our Catholic faith in a whole new way using hands on
learning experiences and activities that reach every child.
